Who Are We? The Limestone Fire Department is a combination paid on call and volunteer fire department with five stations, 28 firefighters, 10 officers, 2 staff members, and 5 publicly elected trustees. Our paid on calls members staff Limestone Central Monday thru Friday from 10pm to noon. We run all ambulance calls with the local ambulance service provider, all motor vehicle accidents, and all other fire related emergencies. In 2007 we ran 1129 calls. We are one of the most active volunteer fire departments in Central Illinois and we love what we do. This web site is designed to give you a small look at what we are about and what makes us what we are today.
